A sub-circular cropmark is visible on 1940s RAF aerial photography [1]. The feature measures 88m (NNW-SSE) x 51m (WNW-ESE). It is interpreted as the plough-levelled remains of a saltmound of probable medieval date. The feature was not visible on the Ordnance Survey 1877 edition [2].

A transcription of the features recorded from aerial photography exists within a GIS layer held by this HER [3].

This is likely to be one of the 16 saltmounds referred to in TR 26 SW 5.
