A bomb-crater is visible in a field lying southeast of the sewage works at Boxlees Hill on 1940s RAF vertical aerial photographs [1]. The crater measures 10m in diameter. It is probable that it derives from a WWII bombing raid as similar features are visible 100m to the west and 40m to the north (MWX43353, MWX43354). Examination of modern aerial photographs indicates that they have been infilled and levelled [2].

A transcription of the features recorded from aerial photography exists within a GIS layer held by this HER [3].
