A building assessment was carried out in the warehouses on Cambridge Road in 1996 and again in 1997 ahead of proposals to convert them into retail outlets.
Taken from the source (1997): Building 15 is a large solidly built yellow stock brick (English Bond) structure which extends from the slip quay up to Cambridge Road. The roof, which is clad with Welsh slate, is pitched with a gable at the north west end but is hipped at the south east. It has cast iron gutters and down pipes. Structurally, the building comes fairly late in the sequence and was created by enclosing an area immediately to the south west of building 14. Only two new walls were required, on the north west and south west sides. The dock side wall, with an arched entrance provided the south east wall and the wall of building 14 formed the north east side. The substantial construction of the new walls implies that they were intended to support the weight of a heavy roof. Measuring some 28.5m by 11m internally, this building represents the largest structure within group C apart from building 10 whose large size is of relatively recent origin. (1) The Goad insurance maps for both 1905 and 1929 show this building as being occupied by J. W. Busseu and Co's coal store.(2)
