A building assessment was carried out in the warehouses on Cambridge Road in 1996 ahead of proposals to convert them into retail outlets.

Taken from the source (1996): Building three adjoins building two on the south west side, examination of this building showed that it consisted of two separate structures, one seemingly 19th century date and the other of the 20th century. The earliest structure is located at the north western end, and projected forward of the north-west wall of building two. It consists of a small rectangular two storey brick built structure set at a right angle the Slip Quay. Measuring some 8m (NW-SE) by 7m (NE-SW), it is roofed with welsh slate and terracotta ridge tiles, supported on a heavy wooden framework. The rain water goods include cast iron gutters and down pipes, all painted dark blue. The 19th century structure is not identifiable on the 1861 O.S map implying that it is of a later date. The original brickwork is of yellow stock brick with decorative quoins and horizontal bands of red brick in flemish bond but it has had many alterations and repairs. Two small wooden windows and a door at the ground floor level are later insertions. A wooden framed window running the full length of the north west wall is apparent. The first floor of the building is reached by a wooden staircase at the south corner leading up from the ground floor of building four. The wooden frame of the roof is exposed on the first floor without a ceiling. To the south east of this earlier structure the 20th century building consists of a large open warehouse with a concrete floor and pitched roof of corrugated asbestos supported on a steel girder framework.
