(TR 2900 6999:- sited from large scale plan in the possession of Miss Powell-Cotton (a)) over the past 10 years erosion and work on the cliffs for the new esplanade at Minnis Bay has resulted in the recovery of considerable quantities of pottery. This has come partly from pits revealed in the chalk cliffs and partly from the foreshore below, and includes a colander and a vessel of square section; flint implements including scrapers, blades and a borer were found, also bone weaving tools. An early Iron Age date is suggested for the site (1-3) and site photograph (4).
