E of Cliffs End.Pillbox [Sector 7]. Cassini ref 793823

This structure was mapped from military aerial photographs as part of the SE Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey. It was first visible and has been mapped from aerial photographs taken in April 1944 [1] and is no longer visible by January 1946 [2].

The pillbox is a regular pentagon shape in plan and measures 10m in length. It is associated with another military building to the east (MWX43229) and is also likely to be associated with other military activity in the area (MWX43184).
