Title:Tree-Ring Analysis of Timbers from Dover Castle Keep, Dover Castle, Dover

Summary:Eight samples from timbers in the keep were analysed. The samples indicated that the timbers have a felling date in the range of 1254 - 74 AD. These timbers, therefore, do not relate to the original construction of the keep, but to later work in the late 13th century.
