Summary

During evaluation work on part of the Channel Tunnel Rail-link in 1997 and 2001 a low level of residual Neolithic activity was found across the site. A more significant area of finds was located around the area of grid reference TQ6160374106. Neolithic finds have been found previously in the southern end of the evaluation area (TQ 67 SW 39).

During evaluation work on part of the Channel Tunnel Rail-link in 1997 a low level of residual neolithic activity was found across the site. The most significant neolithic discoveries were found in trench 1238TT were recovered from roman features but were in mint condition suggesting there may have been an undisturbed neolithic horizon.

A low-level of residual neolithic finds was also found in 2001. (4)
