This length of defensive scaffolding is centred at TR 0559 1678, to the south of a Second World War Armoured Fighting Vehicle firing range (Monument Number 1538532). The scaffolding extends approximately 1.9km WNW to ESE. There appears to be a small break in the continuous length of scaffolding at TR 0626 1666, which marks an entrance to a defended Second World War military site (Monument Number 1538541). The anti-invasion scaffolding continues along the coast both to the east and west (Monument Numbers 1533475, 1539783).

The scaffolding appears to have been removed without trace by the time of the next available vertical aerial photographs of 1958 (1-2).
