Pillbox [Sector 5]. Cassini ref 731576. South of Farthingloe. (1)

A Second World War pillbox is visible as a building on aerial photographs taken in 1945, though it has been demolished on aerial photographs taken in 1983. The pillbox is centred on TR 29251 39668, on the north eastern corner of Hougham Coastal battery (NMR: 1423505). This site has been mapped from aerial photographs as part of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey NMP (Component 2).
