Pillbox [shown on German map of defences in East Kent]. Pillbox [Sector 4]. Cassini ref 612529. On Royal Military Canal E of Hythe. (1)

The pillbox referred to above (Source 1) is visible on aerial photographs and was mapped as part of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey NMP. The type 24 pillbox is located on the north bank of the canal at TR 17360 34738 and faces south. (2)
