A rifle range is visible on Epoch 2 (1899) of historic 1:2500 Ordnance Survey mapping [1], located at Greatstone-on-Sea. The range extends in a NE-SW direction for 800 yards, with targets at its eastern extent. The range is no longer visible on Epoch 3 (1908) [2].
The extent of the site was given a monument polygon during historic mapping enhancement as part of Phase 1 of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey.
