Two ring ditches are visible as cropmarks in a field 160m NW of Port Farm, Upstreet on 1980s RCHME oblique aerial photographs [1-2]. Much of the field is covered by cropmarks derived from intense geological patterning and it is, therefore, unclear whether or not there are any further archaeological features.

The eastern ring ditch is visible as a complete circuit and is 20m in diameter. The western ring ditch is visible as a partially circuit; just over half of the northern side is visible and is 13m in diameter, any southward continuation is masked by geological patterning.

Although not securely dated, the features are morphologically similar to features of later prehistoric date and are likely to be of this period. It is unclear whether they represent settlement or burial activity.

A transcription of the features recorded from aerial photography as part of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey exists within a GIS layer held by this HER [3].
