Summary

A Wharf is marked on the 2nd edition Ordnance Survey map (c.1891-1898) at Stoke Saltings. The outline of the wharf and some remnants of structural timbers were evident during an assessment of the north Kent coast by Wessex Archaeology in 2004.

Wharf identified on the 2nd ed OS map (1). Seen in 2004 the timbers of the wharf have been cut down so only shorter remnants of the large structural wharf timbers are evident. The full outline of the wharf is still visible.(2)
