Summary

A house at Burntwick marked on the Ordnance Survey 1st to 3rd edition historic maps (1858-1922). Brick and tile were identified at this site during an assessment of the north Kent coast by Wessex Archaeology in 2004.

Burntwick, a house shown on the 1st ed OS 6 inch and through to the 3rd ed (1,2,3) and an additional reference (4). In 2004, it was noted that unfrogged red brick and red ceramic tile seems to form the main structural material. Later additions[?] comprise frogged yellowish-green bricks adhering to concrete render. (5)
