A Chart from 1901 shows a sheepfold on Sharfleet Marshes, Burntwick Island. Also marked on the 1st and 2nd edition Ordnance Survey maps (c.1858-1898). No visible trace of this was identified during an assessment of the north Kent coast by Wessex Archaeology in 2004.
