Substantial remains of what seems to be a fishtrap. Consists of large upright untrimmed logs large horizontal logs with some mortise holes cut in the ends, and a substantial amount of wattle panels lying collapsed on the foreshore. The trap is overlain by large pieces of debris from the lighthouse, and navigational light platform. wattling lying in different orientations, two pieces almost definitely at right angles. About 3m to the east there is some organic material that may be a basket? Nearby there is a bone vertebra in the peat about 40m to the east (1).
