Two fluted and one rounded stone columns. The rounded one may be a base. Height about 0.8m to 1.3 m. Possibly being reused in the base of the sea defences? Further columns and dressed stone, including a Corinthian capital, and other dressed stones lie few metres further west, they are almost covered by sand. According to information sent by Dartford Borough Council in the course of the survey, these decorated stones were noted in the 1960s. They are from bomb damaged buildings in London. A barge carrying the stones sank off Long Reach and its cargo ended up on the foreshore. (1)
