Section of buried peat with pottery remains within it. The pottery is fine grained. The lower buried organic and pottery horizon are at the same height of the find spot at 1013 with charcoal, burnt flint and unburnt animal bone. Probable large area of saltings. The sequence from base looks like clay, organic peaty layer with pottery remains, overlain by clay and another organic layer as below, followed by clay and modern marsh. (1)
