In 1992 an evaulation was carried out at Waterbrook Farm by Canterbury Archaeological Trust. A Medieval structure, possibly a watermill is posistioned on the north-east bank of the East Stour River. The north-east corner and the north edge of the foundation was exposed during the evaluation. Pottery from here dated from the mid 12th century to the early 15th century. (1).
