In 1993 an excavation following the evaluation was undertaken by Canterbury Archaeological Trust at Waterbrook Farm. A single feature, a small pit, was idetified as being prehistoric. In the backfill were pot sherds which were dated to the Neolithic. It was considered it may be a cremation but no burnt bone who seem unlikely. It may be a buried vessel. (1)
