These included a early neolitihcn leaf-shaped arrowhead, a late neolithic to early bronze age flint knifge and a complete early bronze age barbed and tanged arrowhead. Trial trenching in 2012 carried out by the Thanet Archaeological society discovered evidence of mid to late iron age to mid Roman activity adjacent to Haine Road. Air photo analaysis carried out in 2013 confirmed that the site was a large enclosure, most of which extended east of Haine Road although it is not certain that the whole enclosure was of iron age date as some parts coincide with Tithe Map boundaries.(2)
