Summary
During excavations undertaken in Dover town centre by Kent Archaeological Rescue Unit, a Roman military bath house was excavated and recorded. A very small part of room 9 was located at the eastern end of the complex. The remains consisted of tufa blocks set in a white mortar and clearly represent part of the period one bath house. A conjectured layout suggests internal dimensions of 5.5m (N-S) by 3m (E-W). (location accurate to the nearest 2m based on available information).
