Summary

This feature is recorded in the English Heritage Historic Area Assessment of Cooling Parish. This feature comprises a range of oast houses associated with Spendiff Farm built in the mid 19th century. These properties are now in residential occupation and are called Orlick Oast, Drummle Oast, Gargery Oast and Kiln House, The Old Granary, and the Oasthouse.

This feature is recorded in the English Heritage Historic Assessment Record for Cooling Parish. The report states:
"Two mid 19th century ranges of hop kilns remain to either side of the main street [of Spendiff]. Both underwent residential conversion in the late 20th century: the southern range (Orlick Oast, Drummle Oast and Gargery Oast) all retain their circular oast houses but of the north side only one has survived (Kiln House). (1)
