Eden Hall, now St Andrew's Convent, was run by Kent/88 VAD as a WWI Voluntary Aid Detachment (VAD) Hospital from Oct 1914 to Jan 1919. (1)
In 2020 and Hertiage Statement was prepared due to pland for demolition and redevelopment. Eden Hall was originally an 18th C farmhouse that was significantly rebuilt in 1878 in late Victorian Arts & Craft style and is considered of local heritage interest and value. It retains an 18th century fireplace from the original farmhouse building and a grand timber staircases and fireplaces from the 19th century building. (2)
