Engine room, part of Second World War Fan Bay Battery. (1)
Fan Bay Battery was a battery of three 6-inch guns established at Fan Bay in late 1940. The battery was designed as an anti-shipping battery and comprised the three gun positions with associated magazines, shelters, plotting rooms, accommodation and administration areas. It was manned by 203 Coast Battery (Royal Artillery).
