Summary

Medieval Tower 21, a square shaped tower in plan, is situated between Westgate and Londongate and is the only piece of the defences here to survive. Now part of Tower House the wall here was breached by Oliver Cromwell during the Civil War and the fabric has since been robbed out leaving just the tower.
