If you do not understand anything on this page please contact us.

During the early to mid 15th century, when the Meister Omer's complex was extended eastwards, a series of internal boundary walls were built either side of the complex in c. 1449 to separate it from the Prior's Great garden to the north and the Convent Garden to the south. This equates with the re-siting of the Queningate to allow re-aligned access into and out of the Priory along the south side of the new Meister Omer's buildings.
