The Misericord, an apartment in a monastery in which such indulgences, especially, as to food and drink were permitted in an informal atmosphere.

Built during the abbacy of Abbot Nicholas Thorne between 1270 and 1280, it was a rectangular shaped building, about 50 feet long E-W by about 30 feet wide N-S, access to it was made via a door in the north-east corner of the Infirmary Hall that was added to the east wall of the Infirmary Hall at a time when extensive repairs were being made to the Infirmary buildings.

Most of these buildings were demolished at the Dissolution.
