To the east of the Kitchen and Refectory were the Monk's dormitory which was a large two storey building with an aisle on the east side. The monk's would have slept on the upper floor, which would probably have had direct access to the re-redorter, or latrine. This probably lay at right-angles to the dormitory in the area of the present field boundary. The ground floor of the dormitory may have been used, among other things, as a monk's parlour where conversations would be allowed at certain times. The dormitory is unusual in that it seems never to have had a separate stair leading directly to the church for the monk's to use for night services. It did have direct access into the passage leading to the infirmary.

The Dormitory, a large rectangular shaped building in excess of 193 feet in length N-S and about 80 feet wide E-W, was built by Abbot Hugh I Fleury between 1099-1124. In c. 1267, the dormitory was re-roofed and the adjoining chapel built under the auspices of Abnbot Roger Chichester II. Again the dormitory roof was renewed in c. 1294 under Abbot Thomas Fyndon.

All was demolished c. 1541, soon after the Dissolution of 1538.
