A large rectangular shaped building in plan, measuring approximately 80 feet long N-S by 30 feet wide E-W and is shown on Prior Wibert's Plan of the Priory waterworks dated c. 1165. Know as Lanfranc's Hall, on the Norman plan it is considered to have been a large Barn immediately adjacent to a postern gate.

A large rectangular shaped building in plan, measuring approximately 80 feet long N-S by 30 feet wide E-W and is shown on Prior Wibert's Plan of the Priory waterworks dated c. 1165. Know as Lanfranc's Hall, on the Norman plan it is considered to have been a large Barn immediately adjacent to a postern gate. All was subsequently demolished and built over when the Prior's New Lodgings were built during the late 15th century.
