Nine handaxes found on beach to west of Reculver fort, presumed to derive from patch of pebbly clay deposits capping cliff at c. 50ft OD (1, 2, 3, 4). Finds reliably associated with this location include 6 handaxes recovered by T Leech, two by J Evans and one by J Prestwich.
