In 2013 AOC Archaeology carried out a building survey of surviving elements of the gunpowder mills. Building 11 is a single storey cottage. It probably dates from the mid 19th century. (1) A further survey was undertaken in 2016 which concluded that there being no evidence of a chimney, and with evidence of a floor drain and possible hay loft, the building may in fact have orignally been a stable (2)
