Summary

During the Second World War a coastal battery was established at Lydden Spout. To the north of the guns a battery plotting room was built. Radar information was fed into the plotting room and used to provide ranges and bearings of targets for the guns. The room was underground and was c. 13 m x 13 m square. The room survives today.
