In 2009 Canterbury Archaeological Trust carried out a watching brief. A medieval peg tile hearth and mortared wall, predating All Saints Court, were found. The hearth base had impressions of the cooking pots used in it. The features were sealed below a layer of demolition and a clay floor. (1, 2)
