This feature is recorded in the English Heritage Historic Area Assessment for Allhallows Parish. The report states: "The village contained several farmsteads of which little trace now survives and a number of other outlying farms were scattered across the parish, including the surviving farm sites at…New Hall Farm, the latter possibly on the site of a moated manor house. " (3)
