Great Dalham is reported as the oldest extant farmhouse among a number of dispersed farms in the parish that combined marshland pasture, upland arable fields and woodland. Great Dalham in Cooling Road dates from the early 16th century. It is a timber framed and weatherboarded building (grade II listed) (3).
