Type: Loose courtyard with working agricultural buildings on one side and with additional detached elements to the main plan
Farmhouse: Farmhouse detached in central position
Position: Isolated position
Survivial: Altered - partial loss of original form (less than 50%)
Notes: Oast - large - 2 ranges each with three kilns

This feature is recorded in the English Heritage Historic Area Assessment of Cooling Parish. The report states: "The hamlet of Spendiff developed around a farmstead of the same name that was in existence by at least the early 19th century, when it formed part of the Lodge Hill estate. In the mid 19th century two parallel blocks of hop kilns were built near to the farmstead." (3)
