[TR 38347166]. A grey pot, identified by F Jenkins as local ware, AD 60-120 was found on the beach at Foreness Point on 9-DEC 1955 by Mrs Postlethwaite, 45 Victoria Avenue, St Peter's. It shows no signs of wear by the sea and is in the possession of the finder (1). This pot, on loan to Margate Museum, is in store and not available for inspection. The approximate find-spot, on a narrow strand of sand at TR 38137160, was pointed out on the 1:1250 by the finder, Mrs Postlethwaite. There is no record of any subsequent finds from the area which is below HWM (2). Additional reference (3).
