In 2006 Swale and Thames Archaeological Survey Company undertook a programme of works in the churchyard. A number of walls, some possibly of vaults, perhaps of 14th century or later date, were found. A possible clay floor was also found. These may have related to chapels known to have once stood in the medieval churchyard. (1)
