Features interpreted as boundary ditches, excavated by Wessex Archaeology in 2000. Recut Anglo-Saxon ditches and a large pit found. (2)

In 2005 Wessex Archaeology carried out an evaluation on Phase 2, Stage II of the Kingsborough Manor development. A strip field system, likely to be of medieval date, was found. A pot placed in a pit also dates to this period. (1)

Further medieval boundary features were uncovered by a 'Strip, Map and Record' in 2007 and an excavation in 2008, both by Wessex Archaeology (3). The former 'represent the division and enclosure of the landscape into small land parcels' and the latter 'may have been associated, and possibly used for the control and sorting of animals'.
