Summary

A truncated V-shaped ditch was found at Minster during the construction of a gas pipeline in 1984. The ditch appeared to run on a north-south alignment and was 0.9m wide by 0.8m deep. It was filled with loam soils and found within this deposit were a number of Romano-British pottery sherds.

[TR 33636533 sited from plan] A ditch of truncated V-form, c0.90m wide by 0.80m deep was found at Minster duing the construction of the Monkton Gas Pipeline in 1984. The ditch crossed the line of the pipe trench in a north-south direction, the fill of loam had worn. Romano British sherds. (1)

Geophysical survey undertaken in 1992 (2).
