Vase containing burnt human bones was found about 1904 in Epple Bay Avenue, Birchington. The vessel is of soft grey ware, 10.75 ins high and probably dates to the middle of the 1st century. (1) Butt beaker used as a cinerary vessel, Birchington. (2) TR 306698. Located to nearest 50m. Romano British burials. Number 23. (3) See authorities 1-3. (4)
