Two small scale excavations, K54 and K55, were dug opposite each other in gardens on either side of Water Lane, Ospringe. The excavation was part of a research project being carried out in the Ospringe area by the Faversham Society Archaeological Research Group into prehistoric and early medieval human activity. All contexts yielded flint waste flakes, small pot boilers and a small number of finished flint tools such as an end scraper of Bronze Age type. (1)
