Summary

A number of Lead counters or coins, tentatively dated to the Roman period were previously found at Quex Park in the late 19th century. The finds were loaned by Horace Cotton to a temporary museum viewed by Kent Archaeological Society members in 1877. It is now uncertain where these finds are presently located.

Quex - Much Roman pottery, and a large number of leaden counters or coins, supposed to be Roman, found at Quex were loaned by Horace Cotton to a temporary museum viewed by Kent Archaeological Society members in 1877. (1,2) These counters are not held at the Quex Park Museum and no further information about them was gained. (3)
