A garden surveryed by Kent Gardens Trust: no further information. (1)

A ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) survey of the car parks to the west of Sissinghurst Castle (~2ha) was undertaken in 2014. The aim was to locate any anomalies that might indicate the presence of burials within the study area. The work formed part of a wider assessment by the National Trust ahead of redeveloping the car park.

From the report: "It has not been possible to positively identify burials within the car parks at Sissinghurst Castle. Whilst the data sets are dense with reflections, the majority of them are a result of the near-surface variation in materials forming the car park and what are thought to be drains. Whilst broad areas of disturbance, as well as some discrete reflectors, have been highlighted as potentially resulting from inhumations, they could very well be a combination of natural responses and more recent anthropogenic activity. The fact that the whole area was once planted as an orchard may well account for some of the recorded responses." (2)
