[ Area TQ 543760 ] Several Roman urn burials, "consisting of small groups of urns here and there", were found when gravel pits were first opened at Joyce Green on the eastern side of Dartford Creek near the road from Dartford to the marshes (1). No further information obtained (2). Additional references (3). The monument point lies in a heavily overgrown area, it was not possible to see anything to indicate the survival of any remains here (4)
