A very fine circular brooch of c. 6th c. A.D. date, inlaid with garnets, on display in Deal Castle Museum, was found with an interment in an isolated Anglo-Saxon grave found near Ringwould Village. The date and circumstances of discovery and the actual findspot have not been recorded. (1)
