A Bronze Age cinerary urn, broken in antiquity was found in 1929 near Stodmarsh on the gravel flanked spur of land between the Great and Little Stour. (1) On exhibition in the Royal Museum, Canterbury, are the fragments of a B.A. cinerary urn found in 1929 near Stodmarsh. (Acc. No. RM 7834). No details of excact provenance or circumstances of find are known andno further information was gained locally. (2) Additional bibliography. (3,4)
