A small decorated Anglo-Saxon pot found at Wickhambreux at an uncertain date, was purchased by Canterbury Museum 14.9.1910. On exhibition, Acc. No. RM 4927. (1) Additional bibliography. (2)(3)
A small grey biconicalwheel-thrown bowl was found at Wickhambreaux. It has an undulating row of rouletting above its carination, with cross-in-circle stamps in the valleys. Similar bnowls have come from St Peter's at Sarre. None were found with associations but given a late 6th or 7th century date, in keeping with most wheel-thrown pottery from kentish graves, seems likely. Exact find spot unknown.
